Toledo's Mayor Receives 2nd Vaccine

Apr 19, 2021

I was thrilled this week to get my second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. As you can see in the picture below, it was painless and easy. I feel relieved that I will now be fully vaccinated two weeks after I received that dose Wednesday.

I again encourage everyone to get the COVID-19 vaccine to make sure you can be there for your family and so we can go back to enjoying events like baseball, concerts, and more.

I want to thank Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine for visiting Toledo yesterday.

The governor gave his biweekly COVID-19 announcement from the University of Toledo, where he highlighted increasing cases in northwest Ohio.

Lucas County right now has the highest case rate in the state, at 341 cases per 100,000 over the past two weeks. Multiple counties in the the region have a rate over 200, the current state average, which is up from a rate of 135 in March. Please continue to follow the guidelines and get your vaccine.

I was thrilled this week to get my first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. When Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine lowered the age limit to people younger than 50, I jumped at the chance and signed up immediately.

I again encourage everyone to get the COVID-19 vaccine to make sure you can be there for your family. I got my COVID-19 vaccine Wednesday so I can be there for my loved ones.
