Health Department Kicks off COVID-19 Vaccine Clinics for Children ages 5-11

The Toledo-Lucas County Health Department hosted its first COVID-19 vaccine clinic for ages 5-11 at Stranahan Elementary School on Monday, November 8.


Over 750 children were vaccinated at yesterday’s event with an additional 400 children expected to receive their first dose today.


The Health Department will continue providing COVID-19 vaccines at several schools over the next week and will host an appointment only public vaccine clinic for children ages 5-11 at the Lucas County Rec Center on:


  • Thursday, November 18th from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm
  • Saturday, November 20th from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm


Registration for the public clinics will be posted within the next few days.


Please have the following items when bringing your child for their vaccine:


  • Parent and/or legal guardian must be present
  • Photo ID
  • Signed consent form


All children who are vaccinated will receive their $100 Kroger gift card at their second dose appointment.
